Brief History of Office Building of Construction Organization Built in 1803 on the " Tykhana" of the seventeeth Century the Palace of Ali Mardan Khan, Shahjahan's Senior General and one of the most important " Omrahs" in the Mughal Empire. The building was the residence of the Deputy Resident of Delhi when British first came to Delhi in 1803. Sir William Fraser is said to have stayed in this building. Beyond this stands the second of the original building with its bow-fronted verandah which once faced on to the Yamuna River.
